Researchers at the Tissue Engineering Department at the [University of Tokyo Hospital](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinting-resin) and venture capitalist, Next 21, use [specialized 3D inkjet printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibreseeker-3) to print custom artificial bones for implantation.

Much like a conventional printer at your home, the special printer uses special technology to print 3D molds that traditionally took a lot longer to create. This will allow doctors to better service patients who need [bone restructuring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monogram-technologies).

**Implications** - With medical research and advancement reaching new heights daily, more and more medical breakthroughs can be expected. Combining technology and health has led doctors and medical scientists to provide more effective ways to service patients. Businesses should look into combining their tech products within the medical field to better service patients.
