[3D printing technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibreseeker-3) is still relatively new and now it's seeing many new developments -- the fashion world in particular is beginning to embrace the countless possibilities it can bring. Fashion and footwear designer Silvia Fado is moving the culture forward with her [3D designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/climamog).

Partnering with 3D printing company, HXX, Silvia first showed her prototype during Fashion Festival in Spain. The 3D-printed shoes themselves feature angular heels and a metal base in the back of the shoe, giving it a modern look that also benefits from the strong, durable and lightweight properties of carbon fiber.
