Gwon Osang creates these amazing 3D photo sculptures which remind me of extreme examples of [paper craft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti). The Korean artist uses hundreds upon hundreds of photographs of his sculpture in order to create these striking pieces.

I find the [human sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-bust) very striking and slightly scary. I cannot even begin to work out how you would create 3D photo sculptures like these. I remain massively in awe of Osang.

**Implications** - With the popularity of Avatar and other 3D films, artists are pushing the boundaries of their works to create aesthetically interactive images that draw upon this popularity. Three dimensional portrayals add a certain dynamic to artforms that transform audiences from passive viewers to active participants in the work. 3D is the future of art and design for consumers.
