Ponmay’s [contemporary portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraitia), which he describes as ‘expanded portraits’, involve photographing people from all angles to create a [panorama view](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-walker-multi-cam) of their three-dimensional heads. They're an interesting twist on the [traditional police mug shot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instant-headshot). It’s a little disappointing that the subjects are all male with lifeless eyes. Similar portraits of beautiful women with seductive, enchanting eyes would be even more captivating. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **3D Portraits:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Using advanced technology to create immersive 3D portraits of individuals. - **Expanded Portraits:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring new artistic techniques to capture multi-dimensional perspectives of people. - **Photography Innovation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pushing the boundaries of traditional photography by experimenting with panoramic views and unique angles. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Leveraging technology to create innovative and immersive artworks. - **Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing new tools and software for capturing and enhancing three-dimensional perspectives. - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating 3D scanning technology in the field of photography to create revolutionary and engaging portraits. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [AI-Powered Portrait Studio Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraius.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Stylized Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-to-all.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Limited 3D-Printed Ceramic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dyadic-series.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [AI-Powered Portrait Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-powered-portrait-studio.md)
