Created with a [gesture control interface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/universal-wearable-controller), the 'ORION360' speaker is capable of interpreting your gestures in order to adjust the volume, play/pause the tunes or change the track. This eliminates the need to press buttons and instead utilizes a more organic way to control the playback with only your hands. The 'ORION360' 360-degree speaker boasts wireless charging connectivity, which means it is placed on the accompanying base for charging without the need to connect cables to make grabbing it on the way out the door a simple feat. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Gesture Control Speakers:** The gesture control interface presents an opportunity for further innovation and integration in smart home systems. - **Wireless Charging Technology:** Wireless charging capabilities provides a disruptive opportunity for mobile device industries to further streamline the charging process. - **360-degree Sound Systems:** 360-degree sound technology has great potential to enhance virtual reality experiences, providing a more immersive experience for users. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Technology:** Gesture control and wireless charging technologies present an opportunity to improve the user experience of audio devices. - **Smart Home Systems:** Gesture control technology can be integrated to improve the user experience in smart homes, by eliminating the need for physical controls. - **Consumer Electronics:** The demand for wireless and gesture control technologies will promote disruptive innovation in the consumer electronics industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flower Bud-Inspired Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orris-speaker-concept.md) - [Circular Wireless Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aureola.md) - [Sculptural Wireless Speaker Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/speaker-and-wireless-charger-concept.md) - [Stealthy Multifunctional Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eko-system.md) - [Acousto-Optic Smart Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-wireless-speaker-design.md) - [WiFi-Charged Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/braun-faithfull-speaker.md) - [User-Following Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solros-speaker.md) - [Adaptable Kitchen Speaker Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chord-kitchen-speaker.md) - [Decor-Centric Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-speaker.md)
