The Grange of [Prince Edward Winery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-sauvignon-blanc) has introduced the 2021 vintage of [Lafontaine du Loup Brut](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lafontaine-du-loup-ros). This [sparkling wine release](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trius-winery) was developed in collaboration with winemaker Jonas Newman. The beverage is composed of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, a composition that results in a refined balance of bright fruit notes, delicate brioche, and subtle almond undertones. The wine’s lively mousse and a touch of salinity contribute to its depth and complexity, making it a sophisticated addition to the winery’s Opinion Series.

Beyond its craftsmanship, the 2021 vintage Lafontaine du Loup series is steeped in historical inspiration. It draws from the legend of Lafontaine, a northern Francophone Ontario town united by a shared challenge. The legend centers around a lone wolf that terrorized the town’s people and their livestock. To community banded together to banish the wolf and until this day, the animal remains a symbol of unity in the village.
