The tablet has a near bezel-free True Tone Liquid Retina display that measures in at 10.9-inches, which is accommodated thanks to the absence of the Touch ID sensor that is now built into the tablet's power button. The unit is powered by the A14 Bionic chip that allows for a 40% boost in speed and graphics to support enhanced productivity. The 2020 Apple iPad Air will come in five color options when it launches this October and will also feature a USB-C port for connectivity to make it compatible with a wide range of aftermarket accessories. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Immersive Lightweight Tablets:** The near bezel-free design of the 2020 Apple iPad Air offers an opportunity to create immersive lightweight tablets with enhanced productivity capabilities. - **True Tone Display:** The True Tone Liquid Retina display of the 2020 Apple iPad Air opens up possibilities for other industries to incorporate this technology into their products, creating more visually appealing and accurate displays. - **A14 Bionic Chip:** The A14 Bionic chip in the 2020 Apple iPad Air presents an opportunity for other tech companies to develop more powerful and efficient chips for improved performance in various devices. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology:** The technology industry can capitalize on the immersive lightweight tablet trend by developing innovative devices with enhanced productivity features. - **Electronics:** The electronics industry can explore incorporating True Tone displays into their products for a more visually captivating user experience. - **Semiconductors:** The semiconductor industry can leverage the A14 Bionic chip as a benchmark for developing even more advanced and efficient chips for a wide range of applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Featherlight 5G-Enabled Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-ipad-air.md) - [Playful Immersive Productivity Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redesigned-ipad.md) - [Ultra-Portable Productivity Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latest-ipad-air.md) - [AI-Enabled Mini Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seventhgeneration-ipad-mini.md) - [Lightweight Travel Productivity Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivo-pad-air.md) - [Ultra Slim Light Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-air-1.md) - [Affordable New-Generation Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ipad-a16-bionic.md) - [Hyper-Portable Productivity Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-air-models.md) - [Slender Expansive Display Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/15inch-macbook-air.md)
