They're designed with man's best friend in mind, and I love the dash of whimsy and life they breathe into sterile contemporary modern surroundings. 2-B-2 Architecture's 'TOYS' can be used as a [table or ottoman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-and-chair), but they can also just serve as fun pieces of decor for [animal lovers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jingcyuan-tang). **Implications** - Home owners have a strong desire to have products that are unlike any other but still serve a purpose. Designers can take a cue from this and let their creativity flow while still providing the homeowner with the functionality that they desire. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Toy Furniture:** Designing modular furniture that combines whimsy and functionality can appeal to homeowners seeking unique and purposeful products. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can create playful and versatile pieces that add charm to contemporary modern decor. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can incorporate whimsical elements into their product offerings to cater to animal lovers and homeowners seeking unique items. - **Pet Products:** Pet product companies can create furniture that combines pet-friendly features with modern design, appealing to animal lovers who want their pets' comfort and style. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Aesthetic-Driven Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karim-rashid-for-ubbi.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloc-collection.md) - [Multipurpose Pet-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wowo-multipurpose-furniture.md) - [Minimalist Pet Decor Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-pet-furniture-collection.md) - [Flexible Plywood-Made Pet Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuto-pet-house.md) - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Customizable Feline Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meow-modular-cat-furniture.md) - [Dog Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-furniture-design.md) - [Interactive Modular Pet Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fetch-house.md)
