Wegner’s [reversible tray table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tray210) that is sleek and practical. The top of the table pulls double duty as either a [coffee table or removable tray](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table). The table top features a handle that aids in the practicality and also adds an interesting design detail. The 1970s-inspired table has the option of being black or white. The finish of the table can be laminate or veneer depending on preference. Finally, the framing also comes in either a light oak or darker smoked oak finish. The base is a traditional stainless steel that is compatible with any of the available combinations. The reversible tray is lightweight and is a fun decorative yet practical piece of furniture. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modern Tray Tables:** The modernization of tray tables is prompting designers to incorporate sleek and practical design elements in furniture. - **70s-inspired Furniture:** The resurgence of 70s-inspired furniture designs is providing opportunities for designers to create modern takes on classic designs. - **Dual Purpose Furniture:** The popularity of furniture that serves more than one purpose creates opportunities for designers to create innovative, space-saving designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating practical and aesthetically pleasing design elements in furniture can disrupt the design industry and increase customer satisfaction. - **Home Decor:** 70s-inspired furniture designs can disrupt the home decor industry by providing customers with nostalgic yet modern pieces for their homes. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating versatile, dual purpose furniture pieces in interior design can create unique, space-saving layouts that can disrupt the interior design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Tray Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taso-tray-table.md) - [Modernized Old-Fashioned Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/union-side-table.md) - [Folding Scandinavian Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lounge-table.md) - [Puzzling Removable Tray Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-puzzle-table.md) - [Wooden Framed Lounge Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jger-lounge-table.md) - [Reversable Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reverse.md) - [Moveable Wave-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/side-table-concept.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Triple-Tabletop Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peel-coffee-table.md)
