# Giant Gum Dispensers The 14,450 Gumball Machine Holds a Lifetime Amount of Bubblegum By Meghan Young | Published 2010-09-24 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/14-450-gumball-machine References: [uncrate](http://www.uncrate.com/men/gear/misc-gadgets/giant-gumball-machine/) & [hammacher](http://www.hammacher.com/Product/11716) I love gumballs so much that the 14,450 Gumball Machine has me a little too excited right now. I just wish I could scrounge up the $3,900 needed to purchase this delicious candy monument. At seven feet tall, the 14,450 Gumball Machine will certainly tower over most. It is able to hold 14,450 gumballs -- a life time of bubblegum to be had. This is something the evil old witch in 'Hansel and Gretal' would have had, I'm sure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Large-scale Dispensers:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating large-scale dispensers for various products. - **Novelty Collectibles:** Potential for disruptive innovation in creating unique and collectible items like the 14,450 Gumball Machine. - **Interactive Vending Machines:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing interactive vending machines that provide a unique user experience like the 14,450 Gumball Machine. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Candy and Snacks:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the candy and snacks industry by creating new and exciting ways to distribute and deliver products like gumballs. - **Retail and Merchandising:** Potential for disruptive innovation in the retail industry by introducing novelty collectibles and large-scale dispensers as unique selling points. - **Vending Machine Manufacturing:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the vending machine manufacturing industry by designing and producing interactive vending machines similar to the 14,450 Gumball Machine. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Expansive Jawbreaker Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clever-candy-jawbreaker-collection.md) - [Collectible Candy Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney100-collectible-candy-dispensers.md) - [Oversized Gummy Bear Lollipops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clever-candy-big-bear-pop.md) - [Record-Breaking Gummy Mosaics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gummy-candy-mosaic.md) - [Oversized Baking Mascot Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillsbury-doughboy-installation.md) - [Theater Collectible Popcorn Buckets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galactus-popcorn.md) - [Underwater Vending Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/underwater-vending-machine.md) - [Fantastical Candy Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everlasting-gobstopper-toothpaste.md) - [Toy Capsule Display Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showy-gacha-2.md)
