As its name succinctly states, it is made up of [1000 roses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forever-roses). Yet they do not make up the typical bouquet women are accustomed to receiving. Instead, they have been arranged in a visually striking grid-like pattern on the ground in the German city of Zweibrücken. Created by German artist Ottmar Hörl, the 1000 Roses for Zweibrucken art installation creates an oddly [symmetrical garden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henderson-art-garden) that the French would absolutely adore. As written on his website, "His Rose installation on the Zweibrücker Herzogplatz the artist sees as a social component and at the same time as an impulse to bless the people on the ground to vibrate through a community-creating identity." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Grid-like Floral Installations:** The trend of creating visually striking grid-like floral installations for public outdoor spaces can provide a unique opportunity for artists and event planners to engage with communities and create social connections. - **Symmetrical Garden Designs:** The trend of creating grandly symmetrical garden designs can inspire new approaches to urban landscaping and public art installations, and potentially create more green spaces in cities. - **Socially Engaging Art Installations:** The trend of creating socially engaging art installations can offer opportunities to connect with communities and promote a sense of belonging, identity, and wellbeing through public art and design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can explore the trend of creating grid-like floral installations and symmetrical garden designs to engage with communities and create social connections, and potentially offer new experiences for public spaces, events, and festivals. - **Urban Landscaping:** Urban landscapers and city planners can leverage the trend of creating grandly symmetrical garden designs to promote the benefits of green spaces in cities and improve public health and wellbeing, while beautifying urban environments. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate the trend of social art installations into their events and festivals to create more memorable and interactive experiences for attendees while promoting community engagement and social connections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Personalized Floral Grid Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase.md) - [Temporary Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-market-20.md) - [Buildable Rose Bouquet Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet-of-roses-set.md) - [Mirrored Flower Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflecting-diverseness.md) - [Vibrant Preserved Rose Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/preserved-roses.md) - [Plush Flower Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cj-hendrys-flower-market.md) - [Outdoor Floral Sculpture Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptures-at-kew-gardens.md) - [Building Block Bouquets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet-of-roses.md) - [Large-Scale Pink-Fabric Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/purple-hibiscus.md)
