Through the use of special agricultural systems and alternative energy elements, these structures are built to achieve a level of unprecedented sustainability, based on goals to feed large percentages of urban populations. As unbelievable as some of the designs seem, these self-sustaining buildings could very well be the future of architecture. ## At a Glance - Evidence: 7 featured examples - Articles from: May 19 to Sep 14, 2011 -
