## What is the Anti-Slouch trend?

**Anti-Slouch:** According to the National Institutes of Health, about 80 percent of Americans, at some point in their lives, will experience back pain, often caused by poor posture. One of the reasons for our prevalent bad posture is the increased number of office jobs, in which sitting for 8 hours a day (and subsequently going home to sit even more on the couch) is causing more cases of neck and back stress, which further induces us to slump and slouch. However, designers are now creating anti-slouch innovations, which help to correct poor posture when it happens. While some of these devices are offbeat and unusual, they provide a nice start to solving the growing poor posture epidemic.
