Sally Hogshead studied at Duke University, majoring in marketing and advertising. After graduating she took to the advertisement field with great success. In just her second year of her career, she won more awards than any other writer in the United States. In her early 20s, she was named the most successful junior copywriter of all time. Hogshead then founded an ad agency and established an office for CP+B. She has written several novels, including ‘Radical Careering: 100 Truths to Jumpstart Your Job, Your Career, and Your Life.’
In her endearing speech, Sally Hogshead discusses the means of persuading through fascination. She argues that a consumer’s fascination with your product or idea is the driving force behind success. Without an interest as awe-stricken as fascination, the business isn’t memorable or worth one’s time.
