Business school Professor Ben Hallen discusses how to develop and establish trust in creating a business relationship. He shows that trust can be developed in multiple ways and explains that, historically it happens over time, but that trust can also be built by signals that allow you to see if a person is credible.
He also reveals that trust can be transferred from one individual to another through the influence of a third party. When trying to build one's trust in you, Ben Hallen suggests being sincere, open-minded and transparent above all else. Hallen states that you focus on those traits with the intention of adding value to the giver of that trust.
