You have to use CFL lights or uv bulbs in these contraptions, if you used an incandescent light it would probably melt the plastic milk jug. Or worse, start a fire. Comment by Edward James Parker |
I guess when it comes to the environment any publicity is good publicity. Of course that's what PETA believes too. I'm also a believer in pure products that help our mother earth too. Comment by Edward James Parker |
Is that liquid it's filling up with or just an LCD? It would be even better if it made quiet sound of a waterfall as it filled up the bottom....of wait, everyone would have to go to the bathroom more often. At least I give them kudos on coming up something new. Don't think it will make it on the market since it's a little too edgy. Now if Angelina Jolie started to wear this watch then everyone would want it. It's amazing how celebrities can help promote products. “The hours of folly are measured by the clock, but of wisdom no clock can measure.” Comment by Edward James Parker |
These watch phones will not be truly practical until the size/weight drops some more & the voice recognition technology improves for the bluetooth. I love the concept of not having to drag my phone around and not getting busted in NYC for using a cellphone while driving. If they can get one of these down to less than $500 I believe they would have some traction OR if you could attach you video sunglasses to it to watch movies on a virtual big screen it would also help. Of course, those of us from the old guard will keep our old distinguished watches for some time to come. Comment by Edward James Parker |
Hublot just doesn't carry the same prestige as the Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, & Piguet. I've worn them & seen them on others but my favorite will always rest with the Classics. Edward "Classic watches never go out of style." Comment by Edward James Parker |
The Titanic watch is hands down a great conversation starter but might cause someone to break with their own rendition of Celine Dion's "My heart will go on". A true conversation piece would be the Rolex from Sedam Hussein's estate. That Rolex will cause no singing to happen, I promise. Can't waiut to see the post "Top 20 watches of 2008". When is that coming out? Edward Gray & Sons Comment by Edward James Parker |
Wihaib is giving the money to schools....sure.... Get a premium watch not owned by a dictator down in Miami, FL. Unless you want a museum piece on your arm. Comment by Edward James Parker |
Is it dishwasher safe is all I care about? Comment by Edward James Parker |
If they actually put more Toyota or Honda parts in it I think they could sell it for more :-) So if they are duplicating expensive cars, what's next, copying exotic travel destinations in your local suburb.... oh wait... Disney World does that. Edward Gray & Sons - keeping it real. Comment by Edward James Parker |
My son got the BETA version of this watch. When he activated it, he became a turtle (probably made in China). Luckily for me it only lasted a few minutes before he became my little boy again. I sold it on eBay to some poor soul. Nexttime I think I will buy a Rolex or a Tag, at least I know what to expect. On a side note, the Ben 10 alien force series is not remotely as good as the original. That's what my 5 year old says.... of course he may still be angry about the whole turtle incident. I think that APO is going to have a tough time selling jeans at even $4,000 a pop in this economy. Heck, even diamond jewelry sales were down for the Valentine's day season. I'm sure the chocolate tatoo kit still probably did well. Comment by Edward James Parker |
I'm surprised you don't have the LG GD910 wristwatch phone rumored to cost 1000 GBP. It makes sense to combine phones with watches. If you have a watch with a small bluetooth headset you don't need a pocket to store your phone anymore. Now we just need a holographic keyboard to appear or perfect voice translation from the bluetooth for your twitter feed. It seems like a perfect world to me. Most of these watches don't seem like they would capture the attention of mainstream users. Seems like a good deal when comparing to the used rolex out there on the market.
