Yoav Avinoam's 'Shavings' Stool Makes Use of Waste and Dust

Yoav Avinoam, a designer from Israel and a recent graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, has created a seat of which he has named the ‘Shavings’ stool.

I remember collecting sawdust (my father's wood cuttings) as a child and using it to make magic potions, but Yoav Avinoam has put these wood shavings to better use.

The sawdust that Yoav has collected is mixed in with resin and made into a mold. What a great idea for a workbench. Stats for Sawdust Seats Trending: Older & Chilly
