Yahoo Launches Online Video Show Edit

Aimed at the young and web savvy, Yahoo has launched a beta of a TV-like online video show called “The 9” – it’s a daily video compilation show featuring the nine top “Web finds” of the day. The requisite tanned, blonde presenter reveals how the show promises to pull together the “weirdest and funniest photos, sites, stories and videos from the Internet each weekday by 9 a.m: “each weekday morning, our sleep deprived team finds the greatest stuff on the Web, and packages it into an easy to navigate countdown.” Not wanting to miss out on the trend towards consumer generated content, the show also features something called “The Pepsi 10th,” which enables users to submit their picks for the most compelling Web video of the day.
