It's prevalent that the 'sports-luxe' look is all the rage in the Y-3 Fall 2014 Menswear Collection, permeating the fashion landscape with tributes to the Yohji Yamamoto's Adidas collaboration. With a runway return to Paris for Autumn, Yayamoto was looking at an urban superhero for Y-3's boys and girls, ready for anything, racing to the finish line.

Outerwear is zipped and tape-seamed, cut from polished wools, nylon, leather and French terrycloth. Some looks include capes with the Adidas stripes trimming the edges, along with "Stay Here I Will Get Help" printed in comic book graphic sweaters and hoods.

The collection looks even more animated with a retro palette of ruby red, warm yellow and electric blue played against Yamamoto's classical black. The outerwear is a true demonstration of sportswear at its best.
