Is horse racing a sport of the past?  The latest auction results would suggest otherwise.

“The world’s most expensive colt was sold at auction yesterday. A nameless Florida-born colt went for $16 million at Calder Race Course in Miami Gardens. Why so much? The Miami Herald reports that the two-year-old has two Derby winners in his bloodline and showed off to prospective buyers by having the fastest workout time of the 154 horses up for bid.” (Luxist)
