A new luxury beach hotel called the Palazzo Versace is about to be built in Dubai which will offer artificially cooled sand so their super rich clientele won’t burn their feet on the hot sand. Heat-absorbing pipes installed under the sand and giant fans will work together to do the job. The system will be computer controlled. The plans have already drawn heat - if you’ll excuse the pun - from environmentalists who are outraged although Versace says the project will be environmentally sustainable.
