I don’t fully understand why someone would want to build a replica Ferrari engine out of wood, as Bill Dietz has. I also don’t fully understand why Dietz would want to devote three years of his life to doing so only to flog the thing on eBay.

This Ferrari 365GTB/4 V12 engine was built from 11 different woods, and is one of 25 handmade wooden engines by Bill Dietz. One was impressive, but 25!
