These new wood stoves cut carbon emissions in half. The Swedish designed 'Baker Stove' is a wood stove that had been designed to address the many health and environmental issues that come with cooking methods in developing worlds. There are an estimated four million people that die each year due to air pollution from cooking and Top Third Ventures, a company based in Kenya, is looking to solve this issue with its Baker Stove.

The Baker stove is an energy efficient cooker that will hopefully replace traditional cooking methods used in developing countries. The design reduces smoke, pollution and global warming gases. The founder and CEO of Top Third Ventures says that "people cooking with these stoves inhale as much smoke as if they were smoking two packs of cigarettes a day."
