The added ingredients for this wine syrup depend on the personal taste of the maker due to the spices needed to make the syrup. On the Honestly YUM site, Coffman has listed that orange peel, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, pink peppercorns, star anise and vanilla bean are great spices to start with on a first attempt.
While this DIY dessert isn't an immediate serve the final product is worth the wait.
