Commissioned by Wallpaper, Joe Doucet designed wine chillers for the annual ‘Handmade Exhibit.' Wanting to go beyond just an object, he created a ritual in a series he calls ‘Wine Chillers’ expertly made by Neal Feay Studio in Santa Barbara. You simply place a chilled bottle of wine inside this decorative container that prevents the cold from escaping by convention, conduction and radiation.

These wine chillers are sophisticated and delicate-looking with its twisting textures engraved on the exterior. Each groove varies in depth and is inspired by cold fronts and wind patterns made as they shift across the globe. The wine chillers cover the entire bottle and have a twist top. They are featured in a dark purple color and suit the decadent shape of wine bottles flawlessly.
