Sales on maternity wedding dressed have soared recently with an estimated 20,000 knocked-up brides getting hitched in Britain in 2008 alone.
While this has long been one of society’s biggest taboos, wearing white as a pregnant bride is slowly losing its negative stigma.
More and more brides are shunning ivory bridal gowns, instead opting to deck themselves out in a traditional pure white wedding dress despite having an obvious baby bump on their big day.
Figures from the British Office for National Statistics show that most pregnant brides are aged 25-29 and are on average three to five months along on their wedding day.
