Through the use of high strength composites, Fietser has managed to produce one of the lightest velomobiles currently available, weighing in at an impressive 29 kg**. This light weight, combined with sleek aerodynamics, enables the Waw to stake its claim as one of the fastest velomobiles in production.

At the same time the Waw offers significant interior storage and comes equipped with a full head
enclosure as a standard feature. Practicality has not been sacraficed in the name of performance.

With a 26 inch rear wheel, the Waw can accomodate a variety of drive configurations, including a standard derailleur, a Rohloff hub, or electric assist.  McPherson struts at the front end absorb the bumps and a fully enclosed chain coupled with drum brakes provide low maintenance operation, leaving more time to enjoy the ride.
