During mountain climbing in the Alps, the founders of PolychromeLAB were faced with the problem of finding lightweight, warm outerwear gear. It's a groundbreaking idea that's designed to increase and decrease the body's heat from both sides.

The weather can change drastically at high altitudes and the mountains require light packing. The idea for the company arose out of a real need for high-quality gear that's reliable. Snowfall and low temperatures are as much of a reality as intensive solar radiation in the winter alpines.

As a result, the warm outerwear garments are highly conductive to UV radiation on the dark matte side, while the opposite side is highly reflective. The jackets are well insulated and use body heat to their advantage.
