The WaitBot App Aims to Reduce Your Time in Line

The goal of the upcoming WaitBot app is to reduce the amount of time Americans spend waiting in line. According to the team behind the app, Americans spend 37 billion hours waiting in line each year. The app aims to sharply cut this number by letting you instantly check the wait times at businesses.

The WaitBot app will do this via an algorithm that gathers data from a variety of sources. Said sources include: check-ins on social media and smartphone GPS locations from both businesses and users. WaitBot will eventually be able to offer an estimated wait time based on data gathered over time, allowing you to see which businesses have traditionally long lines. The WaitBot app isn't out yet, but it's expected to launch soon in Chicago. Stats for Informational Queue Apps Trending: Older & Chilly
