Vox Populi Protests Impact Plotlines of '24'

I am a huge 24 fan… for those of you just tuning in, 24 is the madly popular TV series starring Kiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit agent, Jack Bauer. The show is now in its sixth season, a season that may well be it’s most challenging.
This year has seen a huge drop in viewers and this season’s plotline is the fodder for many online rants ax fans debate what they deem to be predictable storyline twists. The interesting thing is the show’s producers are actually listening to the vieweres and taking their views into account. So much so that they are now promising ‘big changes’ in the days to come.
Whether listening to the vox populi is really in the show’s best interests in terms of long-term viability, remains to be seen. But giving the power to the viewers is definitely going to resonate well with many hardcore fans who live and breath 24.

More than one-third of viewers have bailed since the special four-hour season premiere that aired over two consecutive nights back in January. The vox populi protests have not escaped the attention of the show's producers, who promise that some big changes are on the way for Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) and other regulars next season.
