Vista Media Center ‘Amulet Remote’ is a Personal TV Genie

The Vista Media Center voice-activated Amulet Remote comes with software that, once installed, enables you to escape into the realm of your favorite tv shows, movies and music. It also pulls up photo albums so you can bore your friends when they come for a visit—all with a voice command.

It may be a voice-activated remote control but you still have to pick it up to use it. Once you do, speak into the Amulet and give a command like, “Watch American Idol,” “Amulet, listen to Nickelback,” or “Amulet, view Disneyland Vacation Album,” and away you go. You can also tell the Amulet to fast-forward, rewind and skip over annoying ads.

The Amulet Remote works regardless of how much is stored in the media center. If you have hundreds of albums or DVDs in your library just tell the Amulet what you’re looking for and the selection will appear before your very eyes.

There is also no need to worry about background noise; the Amulet only recognizes the voice speaking directly to it.
