While some photographers have opted to simply allude to a particular era, London and New York-based photographer Phil Poynter appears to have recreated an entire one for the Vogue Russia March 2012 editorial. He travels back to the 1920s to bring back a true Old Hollywood film set along with a handful of flapper stars and a dapper director.

Starring models Ranya Mordanova and Janice Seinen Alida alongside a troop of male models, the Vogue Russia March 2012 editorial is fun, flirty and utterly glamorous. While the men are outfitted in safari shirts, suspenders and horn-rimmed specs, the women are dressed to the nines in Art Deco dresses, pleat skirts, head wraps and mid-length sheath dresses. Stylist Ece Sukan expertly channels the Jazz Age.
