Vodafone moves to mobile content

It’s not news at all that Vodafone offers online content, but it is their new strategy in order to offer real online content to their customers. At the moment they offer their own, mainly some multimedia services and 3G. But now we talk about real online services such as YouTube, GoogleMaps or EBay. They have recently signed several contracts with those companies to offer their online services. It’s very intelligent, with GoogleMaps we will no longer need a GPS to know where we are or want to go, and in general I think it’s a movement to what i read recently -who knows where- about 2007. What I read was that this is going to be the definitive year for the development of real online services and contents. In other words, the year when the main operators will offer them to their customers, thanks to some big alliances like the ones explained above. I just wonder if Google will also offer online software with Vodafone in a close future… You know, their online software to create text documents, open images, presentations… So that we all can enjoy PDA functionalities in our WAP phones. Let’s see how long it takes until this happens! Via: theslogan |
