Ever heard of Fergie? I hadn’t and still the ad caught my eye. Although Fergie was prominently exposed it was the theme of the advertising campaign that fueled my interest.
The M.A.C AIDS Fund, the heart and soul of M.A.C Cosmetics, established in 1994 to support people affected by HIV/AIDS, launched a new advertising campaign, called VIVA GLAM VI.
Fergie, apparently a well-known singer has recorded as an added contribution to the campaign along with PoetNameLife ‘VIVA GLAMOROUS’, a remix of her hit song ‘Glamorous’. Well, to be honest even without the recorded hit exposing Fergie as she is exposed will supply the required attention of the world.
Fergie, is using her voice to further raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS crisis in youth. A limited number of free downloads of her remix and VIVA GLAM E-cards will be available from 25th of March on. Visit www.maccosmetics.com. From April the remix will also be available on the M.A.C websites in the U.K., France, Australia and Germany.
The E-cards reinforce Fergie’s “Responsibility is Glamorous” message by pairing her sexy VIVA GLAM visual with alarming AIDS facts that concern youth. She also encourages people to buy a M.A.C VIVA GLAM VI Limited Edition Lipgloss.
As the largest corporate non-pharmaceutical giver in the arena, M.A.C AIDS Fund strives to raise awareness of four key issues in the fight against HIV/AIDS: prevention, the link between poverty and HIV/AIDS, access to care, and adherence to medications and treatments.
To date, the Fund has raised USD 100 million exclusively through the sale of M.A.C’s VIVA GLAM lipstick and lip-gloss, donating 100 per cent of the sale price to fight HIV/AIDS.
