Staying outdoors too long in a cold winter climate could have devastating consequences, which is why it's preferable to experience these harsh conditions in virtual reality games rather than reality.

'Storm' is a game that is designed for the Oculus Rift, which uses virtual reality to immerse players in a world filled with puzzles and logic challenges. The premise of the game is simple: in the span of five minutes, "get warm or die trying," by finding the house and getting indoors.

The intense experience adds a new level of realism and urgency to the gaming experience, but at the same time it also makes trying to endure the elements less life-threatening and something that can be taken on as a fun challenge.
