The images on these pages can be colored using the online tools and then saved in a gallery that you create. You can also print or send them to others.

There are 192 colors and several hundred images to choose from on ‘thecolor’ site, all arranged by category. You can also request that specific images be added. Because no crayons or paper are required, this is an eco-friendly activity. It's also perfect for parents who can't splurge on dozens of coloring books for their little loved ones.

Intended as a tool to teach color concepts and names, picture comprehension, and hand-to-eye coordination, the site is a fun activity for children but appeals to a wide age spectrum.

There are other sites offering similar experiences, but with fewer images and features. One of those, ‘online-coloring pictures’ is demonstrated in the video above.

Whether you want to play online or print out sheets for coloring the old fashioned way, a quick Internet search for “online coloring” will yield a number of results for your enjoyment.
