If you hadn’t already heard about Diesel’s XXX event, the often subversive and expensive fashion brand have just released a viral video that should make sure that everyone knows about their 30th anniversary party. P

laying with the XXX theme (Roman numerals for 30 and ‘adult’ connotations) the SFW (safe for work) entitled video is pretty hardcore and not for the easily offended. It takes old adult videos, but with carefully placed animations over the top of the images, transform the previously ‘hot’ scenes’ into humorous and innocent alternatives.

The idea for the video is based on the already popular SFW internet meme, but takes it several steps further, bringing the idea to video. This is an example of a brand staying on the pulse of the internet subculture as brands bring trends that start online to their advertising.

The Diesel XXX event is a 24 hour non stop party on 11th October, that kicks off in Japan, passes through a total of 17 countries and ends in NY. Mark Ronson, N.E.R.D and M.I.A. (who has come out of self imposed retirement for the event) will be playing.
