Vintage Ad Collages

Kalen Hollomon Creates Images for Fashion and Lifestyle Tradeshow Capsule

It might be hard to think of pamphlets, invites and signs are art pieces, but that is exactly what these vintage ad collages are. Created for the the fashion and lifestyle tradeshow, Capsule, the images are an abstract way of marketing the upcoming event. Granted, more information is probably shared on the vintage ad collages once they were officially distributed.

Shared in New York, Paris, Berlin and Las Vegas, the vintage ad collages were created by NYC-based mixed media artist Kalen Hollomon. This is Colossal writes, "By using cleverly selected vintage advertisement cutouts to distort contemporary images, Hollomon touches on fashion, gender identity and consumerism in rather unconventional form." Yet many of the images are more subtle, letting the viewers interpret their meaning.
