Kevin Durant has created the VI Aunt Pearl basketball sneakers to pay tribute to his late aunt. The Oklahoma City forward has a pretty impressive basketball reputation behind him.
The baller has a new signature Nike shoe called the KD VI Aunt Pearl. His aunt had passed away from lung cancer in 2000 and the basketball sneakers are a tremendously tailored way to pay tribute to his loving family member. The floral decal is exemplary of the robe that she use to wear. The VI Aunt Pearl sneakers feature a Kay Yow Cancer Fund logo on the tongue and proceeds from the sales of the basketball sneaker will to towards the fight against women’s cancers.
KD made a statement on the sneakers saying that, "I made a promise to myself to always honor my Aunt Pearl for the example she set."
