Vertical Patios - PIQUE Space Optimization (GALLERY)

PIQUE is a design studio dedicated to delivering meaningful and inventive architectural project. One of its most recognized projects is the Vertical Patio which is a back yard patio in Seattle that optimizes space and “creates an atmosphere of circumstance that captures the occupants’ attention and immerses them in a powerful appreciation of the place they are in and the people they share it with.”

To entertain its occupants, the patio has a grill, hot tub, changing room, dining table, bar stool, reading area, and security gates. The challenge behind this project was having all these amenities and maintaining as much open area at the same time.
