Verbatim announced the HD DVD disc availability. Discs HD DVD-R have 15GB of capacity in a single layer. A new polymer of recording based on Technology AZO, this allow the Verbatim discs to reach a high quality of writing of data, minimizing the thermal interferences between marks of data.

Dual discs HD DVD-R Layer with a 30GB capacity will be available at the end of February of 2007.

“With the growing popularity of high definition televisions (HDTV’s) and high definition programming, Verbatim is now manufacturing a high capacity storage solution called HD DVD “High-Density DVD.” These are capable of holding large capacity files associated with high definition video.”
