Vanity Fair's Funny Women - Greek Goddesses & Hollywood Trainwrecks (VIDEO)

Vanity Fair’s April 2008 cover story asks the question “Who says women aren’t funny?” The answer comes directly from the featured modern comediennes, from super famous Tina Fey and Sarah Silverman to The Office‘s Jenna Fischer. It’s obvious, women can be plenty funny. The long article dissects and analyzes the question and compares the current funny women to the classic black and white ones. I must say, it is a pretty boring article. However, the companion shoot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz makes up for it. Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman and Amy Poehler pose as Greek goddesses, complete with leaves on their hair and white dresses on the artistic magazine cover. The funny Hollywood trainwrecks shoot (watch the cool behind the scenes video above) shows Sarah Silverman as Amy Winehouse, Jenna Fischer as a leg-spread Lindsay Lohan while Wanda Sykes channels Lil Kim. Other featured funny women include Sandra Bernhard, Chelsea Handler, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Leslie Mann, Susie Essman and Amy Sedaris. Via: vanityfair |
