Decadence doesn’t begin to describe Valentino’s Fall 2013 Couture Collection. Valentino’s new collection takes inspiration from the Baroque period complete with exquisite embroidery of golden and earthy tones. The Valentino collection also experiments with men's fabrics in gray and oversized camel jackets.

The detailing of each garment is done to perfection, and is meant to recall the cosmos. To quote Joanna from Fashion Gone Rogue, “the Valentino woman wears patterns reminiscent of the cosmos with abstract motifs reminding us of the sun, moon and stars.” It is evident the audience can expect some mystifying designs from Valentino this fall.

In addition to the earthy and golden Valentino tones, there is something for the traditional Valentino connoisseur: flirtatious legs and the classic red dress with occasional pops of colors like yellows, blues and purples. These qualities bring the seventeenth-century Baroque style a splash of modernism that makes it a divine choice for this season.
