UrbanCougar is a social networking site designed for women who enjoy a little kitsch with their mid-life crisis. You can browse the cougar gallery featuring “cubs” (or cougars-in-training, just in case you can’t wait until you’re forty), all the way up to the “Cougar model: Rolls Royce Edition.” I kid you not. Urban cougars don’t sport spotted coats, they wear specially designed graphic tees that remind you just how awesome they are. If you’re in the festive mood, you can sport this “Santa’s Little Cougar” t-shirt (wait—I thought only polar bears lived at the North Pole?) And of course, come mating season, you can purchase some cougar t-shirt love for the male cougar in your life. Just don’t get frustrated when “It ain’t easy cougin’” gets confused for “It ain’t easy coughin’” and people start assuming that you have a nasty cold instead of a hot wife. You can also look up Urban Cougar approved “Dens,” or, in human terms, places to shop. Nifty. Sarah Palin called—she wants to know where to sign up.  What exactly does it mean to be a cougar woman? For the past five years, we here at urbancougar.com have made a life out of trying to understand the nature of what it means to be a cougar. We've learned that it's far too convenient to make generalizations. And that's because being a cougar is ultimately about attitude. It's about the way she carries herself and owns her sexuality.
