Since relationships don’t really follow traditions anymore, it makes sense that many people opt for weddings that are a bit quirky are gaining in popularity. A good example of how things are changing can come from looking at wedding cakes, or their modern alternatives.

Clearly the Krispy Kreme cake in this gallery is a work of perfection and easily beats the doughnut tower as a suitable wedding cake substitute. Pork pies are quite randomly but are also a really popular new choice in the UK, as is cheese. Sushi and ice cream cones are just really, really cool.

I hate the taste of marzipan and heavy fruit cake, so one of these is clearly the last cake I would eat on the day hell freezes over and I eventually get married.
