Uber Helicopter Will Be Available Within the Transportation App

This summer New York City will see the launch of Uber Helicopter, which will be available to Uber Rewards members with either Platinum or Diamond status. The Price of the ride will cost anywhere between $200-$225 USD, and flight times are estimated at approximately eight minutes. The Helicopter ride will include taxi service on either side for the passenger's convenience. This means it will be the first 'multi-modal' Uber service, where passengers will get access to multiple modes of transportation in order to meet their destination.
Helicopter trips will have set routes and will fly from a location close to the Staten Island Ferry, located in Manhattan, to Kenedy Airport. Uber has not officially stated how many passengers the Uber helicopter can hold, however, pilots have indicated the number will be up to five.
