33 Lunar Discoveries - Celebrating the ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘New Moon’ (CLUSTER)
Celebrating the ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘New Moon’

With the fantastic box office success of the vampire movie ‘Twilight,’ the sequel titled ‘New Moon’ has been given the green light.

The moon influences the planet in many ways; tides are created by the pull connecting earth and the moon, most calendars were developed with regards to the phases of the moon, and many pagan and non-pagan festivals are celebrated around lunar phases. No doubt these pagan influences are a big part of the ‘Twilight’ sequel’s title.

The ‘New Moon’ occurs when the orbit of the moon places it between the earth and the sun, making it virtually invisible during the night. The second novel in the ‘Twilight’ saga involves Edward’s departure in an effort to protect Bella from the world of the vampires—the darkest time in her life.

Lunar discoveries and images are always appealing to us earthlings, as few of us will actually ever experience a journey to the moon and only view its beauty from over 300,000 km away. When the ‘Twilight’ sequel ‘New Moon’ gets its Hollywood release, however, we’ll have one more lunar discovery to thrill us.
