Hannah Montana Takes in $32 Million Over The Weekend

Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus) has the best of both worlds in more ways than one. Not only is Hannah Montana one of the top rated shows on the Disney Channel, but it also was the No. 1 weekend draw by bringing in $32.3 Million.

Miley Cyrus is best known for her role as the title character. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, also stars on the show and had some great success in his country singing career. Who would have guessed that several years later, not only would his daughter be world famous and a major star in her own right, but also that he would get a revival of his singing career, and a new career as an actor?

There definitely seems to be a strong trend here when it comes to television shows that appeal to the tween demographic. Will there be a “Hannah Montana 2: The Sequel”? For now, Miley Cyrus is saying no way, but if the money, and timing is right, you never know what could be in store for the high school girl who lives a double life as a singing sensation.
