German Bus Stop Exposes the Duality of Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is different from other types of violence in that it happens and no one sees it. In a way you could say nobody is looking.

In Germany, a bus stop sign has taken domestic violence awareness to a new level by pointing out the ‘behind closed doors’ nature of domestic violence.

By using a camera that detects when someone looks directly at the ad, it changes from an abusive picture to one in which the couple looks like they get along fine.

The message is powerful, indeed.
