Ever used a laser pointer in a boardroom meeting and thought to yourself, “I wish this laser pointer could burn through things like in the movies”?
Well the day has come!  Wicked lasers has been able to harness the power of conventional labratory lasers into a handheld version.
These come in various colors as well, enable the user to melt plastic, pop balloons, or light cigarettes.

I’m sure you have seen those presentation or keychain laser pointers before. Maybe you even have a few lying around in your basement or connected to your keychain. Do you think you will light cigarettes or power a LaserSaber with that? We sure don’t. Not even close. What makes a red laser pointer “ultimate” or “extreme”? That it can point a dot 100 meters away? Big deal. Ours blasts a laser beam for over 100 miles. And its the exact same size. It’s so wicked, it will make you sick.

A WORD OF WARNING SENT TO US VIA EMAIL: Don't want to be a drain, but this item is rather worrying. The lasers sold by wickedlasers.com are dangerous items, and definitely should not be used as toys, however cool the idea. By the seller's own admission (http://wickedlasers.com/faq.php#12), the lasers are classified 3B - enough to lead to excruciating pain and permanent blindness, and without much of an effort. >From the UK Health Protection Agency: "Class 3B lasers may have sufficient power to cause an eye injury, both from the direct beam and from reflections. The higher the output power of the device the greater the risk of injury. Class 3B lasers are therefore considered hazardous to the eye. However, the extent and severity of any eye injury arising from an exposure to the laser beam of a Class 3B laser will depend upon several factors including the radiant power entering the eye and the duration of the exposure. Examples of Class 3B products include lasers used for physiotherapy treatments and many research lasers." Additionally, the legality of possession of such lasers is dubious (http://wickedlasers.com/faq.php#11). There's a reason they ship from China. And a personal anecdote to illustrate the severity of my point: in the physics lab I used to work with, a 3B laser used in an experiment was knocked over. A colleague who worked at the other end of the room screamed uncontrollably until sedated in hospital and is now partially blind.
